HR Analytics Dashboard

Developed an HR dashboard in Power BI to track key workforce metrics including attrition rate, average salary, department-wise headcount, and employee demographics. Used DAX to create dynamic measures and slicers for interactive filtering. The dashboard enables HR teams to identify retention issues, analyze salary distributions, and support data-driven workforce planning.

🎯 Purpose

The dashboard was designed to help HR professionals monitor key workforce metrics—such as attrition rate, employee demographics, department-wise distribution, and salary trends—to support data-driven decision-making around retention, diversity, and workforce planning.

🛠️ How It Was Built

1. Data Preparation:

   • Cleaned and loaded HR data into Power BI.

   • Created DAX measures to calculate Attrition Rate, Average Age, Average Salary, and other KPIs.

   • Handled categorical data like Department, Job Role, Education, and Gender for visual segmentation.

2. Visual Design:

   • Used bar, donut charts and treemaps to show distribution of employees by department, gender, and education level. Also added a Matrix to measure employee statisfaction from 1-4 (1 lowest - 4 highest)

   • Created KPI cards to quickly highlight metrics like average age, salary, and total employees.

   • Implemented filters and slicers to allow users to explore trends by department or job role interactively.

3. Attrition Analysis:

   • Included a key metric for Attrition Rate to help HR teams identify trends and areas of concern.

   • This metric enables early intervention strategies to reduce turnover.
